Mainstay Staffing is now hiring a full time Recruiter for their growing branch in Santa Rosa, CA;

Summary

Recruits, researches, interviews, screens, and refers job candidates for job openings by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

·            Confers with branch manager and account executive to identify temporary employee needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.

·            Writes job descriptions, or reviews, and edits job descriptions written by others.

·            Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings.

·            Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.

·            Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain required information and screen applicants.

·            Works with Return to Work Program to ensure that accommodations are provided to employees that need them.

·            Writes and places job advertising in various media.

·            Develops and coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings.

·            Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs, or any other recruiting sites available.

·            Develops and maintains networks with schools, alumni groups, and other public and private organizations to find and attract qualified applicants.

·            Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.

·            Utilizes online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.

·            Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.

·            Performs reference and background checks for applicants on as-needed-basis.

·            Communicates to applicants on as needed basis.

·            Files and maintains employment records according with Mainstay record retention policy.

·            Communicates with clients on as needed basis.

·            Processes payroll for temporary employees in an accurate and timely manner.

·            Perform and log the minimum of cold calls per day/week, as described in previously provided commission schedule.

·            May be required to visit client sites and/or transport temporary employees.

·            Conducts social security match verification for all applicants, according to Mainstay guidelines.

·            Notifies HR, Safety, WC, Unemployment, or any other corporate department of arising issues that may need their involvement.

·            All other as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience                                           

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and  one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                            

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills                                      

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability                                         

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills                                            

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
